Mysaga - web agility programme

Mysaga comprises a number of components that will be integrated across the saga website and provide service categorised under two main headings. They are Mysaga account and Mysaga portal. Mysaga account allows a customer to register and authenticate on the saga website using a single Mysaga account. It will provide a consistent thread across all saga web applications and a context to support behavioural targeting etc. whereas Mysaga portal allow the association of new and existing products with a Mysaga account and interaction with these products online. The centre point of this functionality is the Mysaga portal page, which presents aggregation of the customer’s product and service and links to launch interactivity, personalized contents and account management function. The customer uses their Mysaga account across the saga website to access products and services that requires authentication or customer identification.

Retail Distribution Review (RDR)- Products

The Retail Distribution Review (RDR) has been implemented by the FSA to change the charging structure of all financial service companies. RDR is aiming to achieve Improved clarity for consumers, Remuneration model that allows competition to work in favour of consumers, and mainly for higher standards of professionalism in the financial advice arena. The purpose of the AAL Project is to develop a system that will be used to record Initial and Ongoing advice charges. Its main functionality will cover creation of new advice cases, maintenance of the advice case once in existence, processing the advice charges payments and creation of advice charge debts. Converting the Ecom or offline quotes into policies by using EFT, BACS, Cheques, fund Transfers, Deductions, Suspends, Surrenders Money In, Money Out authorizations and checking the payments have been credited or debited according to the requirement to confirm the PoS.

7 Day Account Switch Programme (7 DAS)

The 7-Day Switch, governed by Payments Council is a regulatory project which is designed to make it easier and less time-consuming for people to switch bank accounts. The Current Account Switch Guarantee states that all outgoing payments such as standing orders and direct debits will be transferred across to your new bank on your behalf. And any incoming payments sent to your old account by accident, will be automatically redirected to the new account too for 13 months after the agreed switch date.Santander is involved in Full Switch-In, Full Switch-Out and Partial Switch-Out of Accounts.

FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act)

Under U.S. tax law, a U.S. citizen is generally required to report and pay taxes on income from all sources. It requires individuals to report their financial accounts held outside of the United States and foreign financial institutions to report to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) about their American clients. FATCA was designed primarily to combat offshore tax evasion and recoup federal tax revenues.Implementation of FATCA will result in Santander UK plc providing a broad range of information to the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in respect of customers with specific US links
